Learning numbers is fun for kids with number songs! Make your kids learn and identify numbers from 1 to 10 in a musical way. Counting songs or Number songs provide a lot of entertainment to little learners, while they learn number recognition.

Introduce number-related nursery rhymes kids to develop their early math skills. Some of the popular rhymes that make easier for kids to learn and identify numbers are:

Hickory Dickory Dock:
“Hickory Dickory Dock" or "Hickety Dickety Dock" is a popular nursery rhyme in English-speaking world. The earliest version was recorded in 'Tommy Thumb's Pretty Song Book', named as 'Hickere, Dickere Dock'. The nursery rhyme help the kids to learn to count from 1 to 10.

One Two Buckle My Shoe:
Another number song that helps the preschoolers and children to learn number in an entertaining way is “One Two Buckle My Shoe”. It is one of the kids' favorite nursery rhyme and counting-out rhyme. The first version of the rhyme is in 'Songs for the Nursery', published in London in 1805.

Five Little Ducks:
“Five Little Ducks” is a popular English language nursery rhyme for preschoolers and kids which help them to learn to count from 1 to 5. The rhyme features five little ducklings, who venture out for lots of fun activities one fine day and go missing one by one. The sad mother duck gets worried and quacks louder to call back, and at the end of the song all the five ducklings come waddling back.

Ten Little Indians:
Little learners will enhance their early math skills with a delightful number song, “Ten Little Indians”. The rhyme is an American nursery rhyme, which is usually performed to the tune of the “Michael Finnegan” a popular Irish folk song. The original piece of the song, entitled as "Ten Little Injuns", was written by Septimus Winner in 1868 for a minstrel show.

Five Little Monkeys:
“Five Little Monkeys” is a rhyme which kids enjoy to act out. The rhyme is accompanied by a sequence of gestures that imitate its lyrics. Each successive verse consecutively counts down from the starting number.

Five Little Speckled Frogs:
“Five Little Speckled Frogs” is a well-known nursery rhyme and fingerplay, which originated in the United States. Delightful actions and hand movements are combined with singing to keep the kids entertained and happy. So, have fun singing “Five Little Speckled Frogs” with your kids and help them recognize numbers 1 to 5.
